I did have to laugh!!

Anyway, oof, I get that a lot of these people can't fly commercial for security reasons, but that's a lot of flights.

They absolutely can fly commercial and avoid security concerns.

Yeah and I'm wondering how many of these flights they have to take.

A lot of my friends have talked about re-examining how much they are flying and limiting it. They're not taking private flights and aren't rich. I can't imagine all these flights are necessary business for this list.

Yup. If I can take the train instead of a plane, I will. These celebs just don't care about the environment. They fly this much because they can.

I agree about trains or other forms of transit. I was more thinking about vacations and such. There is value in traveling to far away places, but how much does anyone really need to do especially considering the planet is at stake?

Oh I agree! I've taken the train for vacation throughout the Northeast. That would be possible throughout the US if we had high speed rail.

whatever slight safety risk there is will never justify the lives and livelihood of millions of people. they dont even have to fly.

What are the safety risks with commercial? Like genuine question?

It’s not like everyone ain’t passing through security, so no one has any weapons. Celebs can have a body guard with them. Legitimately, what could possibly be considered a safety concern with sitting on a plane with other people?

Not to mention smaller aircraft and private planes are actually less safe than commercial planes in terms of like crash statistics

they just don't want to sit with common proles and they don't want to be photographed in the general population section of the airport. That's literally it.

But they don’t have to if they’re flying first class

Respect, I certainly have never had any interest in being famous and I’m an anti-social media person. I love being places but I really hate the hassle of air travel so like if I had to be conscious of self throughout it… I’d prefer not

Right? It already sucks to do airport/travel grind, but now you're on display with nowhere to get relief if you do get mobbed.

It's the being on display at all times (and not having the choice to turn that off) that would wreck me. It might even be mostly tame, but the unpredictability means you do have to be hypervigilant, which gets unhealthy.

We do violate our celebrities with our fandoms and our curiosity, even with the best of intentions. I would also NEVER want to be famous. I don't like that energy at all.
