They were definitely hinting at Kelly/Bortus and I am kind of here for it.

I feel like at this point Kelly could start a frisson with literally anyone, she just has that ~one that got away~ vibe. I really appreciate that the show allows her character to have chemistry with people other than her ex without either making her a Mary Sue or obnoxiously flirty/sexy.

I don't know how I feel about it yet since it's so new but I am glad they seem to be meandering away from the tired Ed/Kelly will-they-won't-they.

this show leans into the romance and I kind of love them for it? it's just another way that it completely eschews the whole grimdark tone that *ahem* some other sci-fi shows have embraced.
