Bob’s Burgers is my ultimate comfort show so I’m excited.

I could def do with less Teddy though… They need to start doing something different with him. Time for some character growth.

I thought the episode where he and Bob went on the roadtrip was great for his character and if I'd like more of that.

Agreed. I can deal with Teddy in small doses. Sometimes he stresses me out and that is the opposite vibe I'm going for with this show

100% agreed. I’ve seen lots of arguments for how uncomfortable Gayle makes people and that’s valid, but nowhere near enough arguments on how fucking gross and stalker-like Teddy is.

I rewatch episodes all the time and somehow forgot that in one of them, the Belchers left him alone to repair the restaurant and he legit broke into their apartment, took a bath, and fell asleep in their bed. The ~Teddy’s weird but he’s in therapy~ storyline is getting old for me. That shit’s scary.

He definitely wants to single white female Bob and it’s unnerving.

Speaking of Teddy, I often wonder whether he or Bill from King of the Hill is the more pathetic character.

They are very similar types as they were emotionally destroyed by their ex-wives, have inappropriate crushes on their best friend's wives, and are actually good at their jobs but seemingly nothing else.

Bill is more pathetic; Teddy is more likely to have a Dateline episode

i hope in real life no parent would ever let someone like teddy near their family

yelling at the kids, weird stalky behavior, one time he literally threatened to murder bob and linda?? even mickey and critter seem like safer people to have around.

I don't mind Teddy (except I'm so very tired of the 'best friend in love with MC's wife' trope in adult animation) but I think he shines best when he has stuff going on that the family joins in on rather than the other way around

Tbf, I think Teddy is more in love with Bob than Linda, lol.

haaaate teddy. i was gonna do a post of things i don't like about bob's burgers and teddy episodes are one of them. he has zero boundaries. i hate it. and i hate that the show makes bob seem like the asshole for trying to set them with him

And the worst part is, all the Teddy enabling and guilt tripping Bob actually comes from Linda. Off the top of my head, there’s an episode where Teddy is acting nuts (like running into traffic nuts) bc Bob isn’t mad that he has a job at Jimmy Pesto’s, and Linda tells him that he has to pretend to care bc “Teddy needs you to be mad”.

And then in the one I mentioned above, when Teddy breaks into their freaking house and they find him in their bed, he asks to sleep on their couch and when Bob quickly says “no” Linda goes “yeah sure I’ll get you a nightshirt” or something. 😒😤

totally! and when bob keeps saying teddy isn't his best friend, linda is always like "yeah he is". and he's even jealous of bob's other friends. plus, stuff like him doing repairs at the counter, making bob do a halloween display, etc. are really rude to me lol

one episode where i think it kind of works is the hoarding one and even in that one linda is actually doing what you're not supposed to do to help hoarders

It’s definitely true that sometimes it does work, like when he babysat and did a decent job protecting Tina (even tho he was like a second away from handing Louise a blowtorch at one point🥴).

I’m starting to realize Linda needs some help lol it’s easy to see her sister and Teddy need help but Linda needs therapy too. She enables everyone all the time (Gayle, Teddy, Gene, and Louise especially), she’s blinded by pretty people, and she needs to lay off all that damn wine.

Basically what I’m saying is I need a mini series about Linda’s therapy sessions w special appearances by her parents, Bob, Gayle, Gene (their relationship is creepy af sometimes) and King Trash Mouth😂
