• IndieWire gives the film a B, saying that while there are some pacing problems the film has all of the joy, fun and music of the series.
• The movie hits theaters this Friday, May 27.

The movie finds Louise, "caught between two phases of youth: the carefree childhood years and the burgeoning self-awareness of pre-teendom," and says her story is a wonderful coming of age story.
