Hot take, but i liked S6 and loved S7.

This one was a great finale tho. Little teen me was like "how the hell are they gonna bring her back?!"

I loved the idea of Willow being the Big Bad tbh ~one of their own~ like sorry I thought it was great lol. Didn’t really care for season 7 tho.

S7 focused way tooooo much on Spike and not enough on the Slayer lore/Buffy and the scoobies. I love the potentials, the first, uber vamps but all of it didnt have proper breathing room.

I loved the first half of season 6, then after the musical and Tabula Rasa it just seemed like they didn’t really know where they were going after that and it became such a depressing slog, it would probably have greatly benefited from todays shorter seasons, because 22 episodes of Buffy feeling depressed and trying to find a reason to live was just too much imo

I love S7 too. Like fight me but Selfless, Help, and Showtime are top notch episodes of the series. Add Him too. I don't care.

Plus it was a proper finale with bringing characters back and everything. AND Buffy got a happy-ish ending. I am not here for people wishing she had died after all she's been through. Screw that.

If anything Graduation Day would the better endpoint than The Gift imo if you want to pick and choose the right time to end the series earlier, because at least that episode leaves things on a hopeful note with the future ahead of them, plus Buffy breaking away from the council and standing by herself.

I’m happy with Chosen though, just saying GD makes more sense as a series finale than The Gift would. I’ve never understood the number of fans thinking that Buffy jumping to her death would be the perfect time to end the show, what a downer that would have been

I agree with you! I never understood the season 7 hate. I know Kennedy SUUUUUUUCKS, and I hate that Buffy was kicked out of her own home, but I did enjoy the potential slayers storyline and liked getting to see Faith again.
