i hate whedon but i cant give up buffy, i rewatch the whole thing at least once a year. first season is rough, but man. that show had some real quality moments (anya's breakdown in the body???)

Oh it gets better again after season 1? I LOVED that show so much back in the day and I tried rewatching last year but couldn't handle it.

for sure! i mean im definitely biased, but s2 is fantastic! (i think the first couple of eps are like season 1 but it definitely hits its stride in s2) it was angsty me's favorite season, but i think the later seasons are my fav now

Season 2 onward is a very different show in terms of tone and the visual look. In that first season, you really only need the double episode premiere, the episode called Angel and the season finale to be jump into season 2.

For sure. Season 1 is just a nostalgia train but not much more. Season 2 after School Hard is just amazing

sO many episodes are legit great. Hush for example at the time felt more like a movie rather than an episode

Unpopular opinion, but I like season 1. Yeah it’s nostalgic but I also like it because everybody’s not super traumatized yet. They have like, just a little bit of trauma, in comparison to the rest of the show.

I think season 2 and 3 are my favorites, though there are things to like about every season.

I know that Anthony Head is his name, but every time he pops up in Ted Lasso (in anything tbh), I’m all like “Giles!” lol
