i feel like we are in the start of an era of musician flakiness and disregard for fans and their money and time. this is obviously a much much smaller scale than adele though.

SO MJB is form Savannah originally. I've subbed in classes with her kin several times. But when she left to Atlanta she completely forgot Savannah and wouldn't even claim it as her home. As a result, the community here HATES her. She came back in the 00s for an MLK parade and they straight turned their backs on her when her float went by. Just fun local trivia.

Big Boi just got a key to the city from the mayor and people are pissed because he's another Hometown Done Good who hasn't ever put anything into the community. So much drama in the 912.

When I first moved back I was "adopted" by a coworker who had owned the record store on the West Side during the 80s and 90s when Savannah was ROUGH. She knew everybody and everything about that side of town and got me up to speed on all the stories. This place is BANANAS. I love it.
