part of my annoyance of her was because of just how prominent the fandom made her out to be especially during my time on tumblr - anyone that was a mcu fan was also somehow a peggy stan it was TOO MUCH. she felt like such a self insert type of character that a lot of the fangirls related to and i was not into that at all.

and like you said they made her out to be this important character when all of it was felt so forced??? so many prominent and ICONIC characters from the comics to choose from and they pick...HER??? the presence of her character held steve back in endgame, i get so riled up thinking about how they ended up together in the end ugh

I liked Peggy and even watched Agent Carter but I agree that the ending of Endgame sucked; it made no sense for either character and ruined both of their arcs.

I think what'll forever piss me off about how much the mcu keeps trying to shove her down our throats is that before she was even introduced she was an absolute non-entity in the comics to the point Sharon's personality had to be lifted for her and Natasha. Like I do not get the obsession with this woman, everything she touches gets cancelled yet here she is helping shaft more women of the mcu every goddamn time you think they're done!
