The US is so full of bullshit puritans. A nipple is the end of times for children but gun ownership is fine and dandy.

I watched this live and it was barely visible, lol. I couldn't believe people were so scandalized by it.

I was a kid at a Super Bowl party with my dad and all I remember a brief flash of a nipple and Janet’s horrified face. I’ll never forget how she went from scowling like a badass to being visibly mortified and ashamed. Fuck Justin Timberlake.

I know you don't mean harm & I'm in no way trying to start shit but I think you should be careful with the "nipples/boobs are for children" discourse bc a woman's body is hers, and not "meant" for someone else. If she so wishes to have a kid & use those nipples to feed them, by all means she should but it's dangerous to normalize that narrative bc not every woman wants to/can have kids, and not every woman who has them can feed them through breast milk.

So let's not demonize nipples not bc they're "for" children but bc they're a natural part of a body that shouldn't be frowned upon ;)

Nipples are also an erogenous zone, and they're not less important if they're just that. There's nothing wrong with acknowledging biology but all I meant is that we shouldn't attribute value to body parts solely on their biological function. That discourse reminds me too much of "uteruses are meant to create life" which I find incredibly harmful when you consider infertile women who deeply wish to be bio moms. It just feeds into the idea that they're a failure because their body isn't doing what is "meant" to do. Our body parts deserve respect regardless of their biological functions.

There's clearly a double standard sure, but like I said, I wasn't trying to start shit because I do know what you meant, I just felt the need to point out something that I found relevant to the discussion as well.
