November 17, 2021 -The Janet Jackson NYT special explores the rise and fall of Janet Jacksons career following the infamous Superbowl performance.
-It was revealed that Janet was the "safe" option for CBS/Superbowl after they deemed that performers like Diddy/Kid Rock/Nelly would be to raunchy for the main performance.
-Even as Janet was the "safe" option she wasnt safe enough as they wanted to appease everybody from kids/parents/youngs/olds/red states/blue states so they added Justin Timberlake.
-As everyone knows, 9 seconds caused the biggest uproar around the US and Janet was deemed a villain while Justin Timberlake was given a pass.
