I have soooo many questions.

#1 - why was he shooting towards the DP and director? i guess maybe it was one of those shooting towards the camera shots?

#2 - how the fuck does a real bullet get into a prop gun?!?!? do they use real guns and just fill it with blanks? i feel like that shouldn't even be an option.

#3 - the staff walked due to gun safety issues the day before?!?! WHAT THE FUCK DOES THAT MEAAANNNNN?!? WHO IS THE PROPS MASTER AND WHY AREN'T THEY IN PRISON??!?!?

For your first two questions, unrelated set workers said it's likely they were rehearsing or shooting a scene where Alec shoots at the camera. They use real guns and that's why there are specialists handling the weapons.

From the news that Alec allegedly screamed "who gave me a hot gun," he had no idea there was a live round in there.

You and I have similar questions, especially around #2 and #3. If the staff thought there were gun safety issues that were serious enough to walk, it should've been a big red flag.
