According to the Santa Fe County Sheriff’s office, Baldwin fired the gun. The film’s director, Joel Souza, was also hit, and was receiving emergency care at a hospital in Santa Fe. https://t.co/7Xybp84H8M

I feel bad for Halyna and Souza, but damn imagine working and accidentally killing one, maybe 2 people, to make your old man western.

This is truly horrifying. RIP to Hutchins and hopefully a speedy recovery for Souza.

How could this even happen? What is going on with a prop dept that they don’t make sure a gun to be used as a prop is safe to fire?

Brandon Lee, Bruce’s son, died on the set of the Crow when he was shot with a prop gun. I can’t imagine just how traumatic an accident like these would be for everyone in set

Jon-Erik Hexum also died by putting a prop gun up to his temple and pulling the trigger, just as a "joke" when he got bored on set - he hadn't known that even blanks can cause damage at very close range, and the force of it shattered a small part of his skull and and propelled the pieces into his brain.

You can't even fuck with bullets that haven't been fired. Even slamming one down in a shell casing on a table can discharge it.

Also i wish more ppl knew that when building a campfire, never use rocks from near the water. Heat in waterlogged rocks literally explode when exposed to heat and there are videos of this.
