that seems pretty surprising. charlie has to still have a lot of money coming in from two and a half men syndication, i have to assume? also charlie and denise seemed on relatively good terms so it's interesting.

He's loaded and they're on good terms. This has more to do with the fact that she missed the court date (and didn't send someone in her absence, like a lawyer).

But a "source close to her" ie, her team in the People article is also saying that he's turning the girls against her

A source close to Richards told PEOPLE she was "blindsided" by the court date and ruling.

"Charlie filed two years ago and kept pushing the court date, so Denise was very surprised that it happened yesterday while she is out of town filming. She was blindsided," the source said, further alleging, "Now he's manipulating the situation."

"This is very disappointing for Denise, but also not surprising. Charlie is pitting the girls against their mother, which is horrible."

If this has been going on for two years she and her lawyers should’ve been paying attention. They definitely would’ve been notified of the date. Really though what it comes down to is who actually has the kids more. If Charlie has the kids more than her then she is not entitled to support.

That might be true, but someone dropped the ball on her end. The courts literally serve you each time the other party requests a court date well in advance of the date, and now most courts are doing Zoom as well.

yeah, i agree, it def just sounds like the girls getting older probably want to live with charlie because he's less strict on them. i guess i'm just surprised it seems like denise and charlie are throwing dirt at each other publicly because they've somehow managed to co-parent pretty well despite all the insane circumstances that charlie is responsible for and denise marrying another crazy guy
