Aw, that was nice to see. I remember watching 227 as a kid.

I never was a DAYS viewer, but when I was a kid, my elderly neighbor would babysit me after school (and during summers), and she got me HOOKED on Guiding Light. I always ran home in the ‘90s to see what else cray Annie was gonna do to Josh and Reva. And then during summers, I’d also get into As the World Turns and Bold and the Beautiful.

It’s sad now to see there are only 4 soaps left. I get why obviously, but the legacy of soaps was pretty cool considering one generation would get a new one into them and so on. I remember my elderly neighbor telling me the past 30 years of Guiding Light history when I was like 12.

I loved Guiding Light. They always put Josh with unstable stalkerish women when he wasn’t with Reva. I think he was with Sonny (played by the awesome Michelle Forbes) who had either an evil twin or evil split personality named Solita. Also think he (or his brother Billy) was with Nadine, who pretended to be pregnant to keep him and hid a pregnant teenager in the house so she could take the baby as hers when it was born.

Yes! I never saw the Sonny years, but I heard all about them.

I loved the actress who played Annie in the 90s, Cynthia Watros. She won an Emmy for that role. I will never forget her throwing herself down the stairs and then blaming Reva for “pushing” her 🤣🤣🤣

Yup, when she was on Lost, I still called her Annie.
