I don't know why everyone was so bent out of shape over them changing the canon on the regenerations. It was written at a time nobody could have predicted they'd ever need to worry about reaching it. Like... yes, it's clunky, but they have to deal with it somehow and better one permanent clunky fix than constantly having to dream up new excuses which'd be just as clunky

You know, i’m the first one to go: “Doctor who is a show about change, you have to embrace that before going into the show” and i’ve always been one of those that wants to give time to any change the show does before deciding if i love it or hate it.

That said… i realized there are things you dont mess up within this show, which are the bases of what this show is, and that twist was one of those. The doctor was great cause back then he just happened to be a regular guy that made a choice and changing that and making her a god-like creature just messes with the core of the show. It’s like dropping the Tardis and starting to travel by plane, so i’m not mad with Chibnall leaving, but i will miss Jodie.

That's where I am. I was laughing at the people who were upset about change in a show all about change. You expect change from a show where the main character changes faces every few years. And I don't think showrunners should be afraid to take risks and make bigger changes either. RTD destroying Gallifrey, for example, was pretty big. He made that work well, though, and it didn't mess with the core of the show.

But yeah, there's very little that is actually integral to the show. I'd say the only thing you don't want to change are the very basics: the Doctor is a time traveling alien from Gallifrey; a normal Time Lord with rebellious streak. Even Moffat was treading on thin ice when it came to that, but Chibnall put it over the edge. I think it's something that can easily be retconned in the future, but it's still annoying.

its entirely possible now. She plays a main character on Holby City and the show after like 20 odd years has just been cancelled and ends begining of next year so she will be free to be in doctor who after
