I like this book a lot but deciphering all the clues in the footnotes and letters and symbols is a full time job I’m not about to do

I keep meaning to reread it, every time I listen to Poe (which is a lot, I refuse to leave the 90’s, musically) I’m like damn I should go read HoL! But that book is literally an UNDERTAKING.

I get sad when ppl say they hated it bc I think it’s a phenomenal story but I do understand the complaints lol

lol I was proud to finish the book having followed/read like ~70% of the footnotes and symbols and clues. i enjoyed it but not eager die a reread anytime soon.
