Another Reddit mystery. Seinfeld’s apartment is impossible to exist and defies physics laws

A Reddit user discovered that Seinfeld is set in a world in which the laws of physics don't apply to real estate. Throughout 9 seasons, Jerry, Elaine, George, and Kramer didn't notice that when they walked out of Jerry's apartment and turned right through the corridor, they then proceeded to walk through the space that their kitchen was supposed to occupy. There are many scenes set in the hallway that show it goes right through where the kitchen was supposed to be.
Users have been drawing diagrams, floor plans and analyzing scenes to make it make sense, to no avail. With people now comparing the apartment to the overlook hotel, the main antagonist of Stephen king's the shining.
