Plenty of people on Facebook have no problem saying awful shit under their real name. We need the companies to be better about kicking off people spewing lies and hate speech.

Exactly. I remember when some websites first introduced having to comment using your Facebook account, and everybody thought it'd mean people would comment less and be more reasonable, but no, they just kept saying the same vile shit they were saying before, only now under their real name and with a photo of themselves with their baby next to that comment.

Exactly. I have so many friends who get temporarily kicked off FB for posting the most random stuff but when you report actual hate speech, racism, sexism, etc somehow it doesn't violate the community guidelines.
