i read the books about a year before the show started, and for those... 5? years or so when the show was good, oh man. i was loving it.

now i 100% do not care about the books anymore and have completely moved on. GRRM should just be honest and admit what we all know - he stopped being into it years ago and lost motivation. just admit it dude

Mte, it’s clear he either has no motivation at this point. I remember a blog post or something where he said he wrote himself into a corner with Daenerys’s storyline in Meereen and can’t get out but like…you can. You made this world!!! Lol

It's a fantasy series, where there is literally magic and resurrected characters, he can make anything up.

Exactly, I get writer’s block and I’m sympathetic to that but considering its his world and he made the rules, there’s a million ways to fix it!

Right! And book Dany still has three dragons; like come on GRRM. He just needs to admit that like pretty much everyone else, he’s just over it.

Even if he's stuck on Daenerys, that's not a reason to bring the whole thing to a halt. He's got eleventy hundred other arcs he could be getting on with while he figures that out. He could literally ignore her for an entire book if he wants lol

Yeah exactly, why doesn’t he just not write her in the 6th book? Lol

I feel like instead of working on Daenerys' story line and others, he instead stayed on the Targaryen line and out came "Fire & Blood."

I'm curious if he'll even finish book two of F&B.

Such nonsense. He could have issued revised versions of the earlier books if he were REALLY stumped and had no ideas within his existing story. The publisher will do anything to get the final books out of him because it prints money.

And I mean, it's fine. He's not a slave to the readers. The only one he owes is the publisher, for whatever contract they could have.

He's honestly done a lot either way, people can just write fanfic now, lol. And by lol I mean seriously.
