When you are ready to do some clothes shopping, get yourself something you've always wanted. No bad voices in the head. Call it an aggressive act of rebellion on behalf of us all, if you need to. Make it angry or funny or everything. Whatever you have to, to start killing that voice. Cause I'm telling you, it works. Hey getting a bikini nobody will ever see but you wear at home, it's weird but it helps. Trying on things you never would, if you can shift the paradigm just a little so it's not about listening to the inner voices of pain, it helps.

But I still can't do poofy arms. =)

So when you're ready, go be unapologetically fabulous.

I have started doing this too and honestly, taking "fashion risks" that I thought I couldn't pull off I realized I actually look really cute. For example I'm too short to wear long floor-grazing maxi dresses/skirts, but I actually can rock them.

I still have the body dysmorphia but that would be there regardless what I wear.

In the end, I realize most people dgaf and the ones that do, are usually assholes. Consider the source kind of thing.
