My flapper dress is still on backorder. Do I think I'll look good in it by magazine standards, hell no! But I wanted one my whole life. And I'm a cliche now having come so close to losing it. So much we wait on cause maybe some day, or deny ourselves it's not worth it. Nobody cares. There are billions of people on this planet and they don't care what either of us wears in a given day.
So I know I suck at keeping in touch cause I've been so sick, but if there is an item of clothing you really want, get it. And don't tell yourself you look terrible. Tell yourself you are gonna be and look unapologetically fabulous.
If you only wear it while watching cartoons and eating mac & cheese, it's a win. The biggest win.
I now have a rotation of dresses I wear at home. They could sometimes fit better cause of me, or a little tailoring would be nice. But sometimes yeah, I wear the pretty dress instead of pajamas (which i live in a lot lol) cause i can. cause it's fine. and cause for decades i too got indoctrinated that it wasn't "ok".
You're already fab, frankly the clothing should be glad it gets to grace you.

I still have the body dysmorphia but that would be there regardless what I wear.
In the end, I realize most people dgaf and the ones that do, are usually assholes. Consider the source kind of thing.
