There's a DCEU and then there are movies outside of the DCEU (Joker, Pattinson Batman, etc)

So no they don't know what they're doing.

I think WB has the rights to all the DC characters for movies? So like, yes, there are canonically black superheroes that they could make movies about. But WB probably thinks that using a big name like Superman is the only way to make money?? IDK. I understand nothing about the WB's strategy when it comes to DC movies.

i'm beginning to think they have no strategy lol. honestly i've never understood why wb (and disney too) don't take more ~risks with their comic book movies when they are proven cash cows even when the reviews are bad. like, just try something different and new! people will flock to see it anyway!! so frustrating haha
