I just don’t understand how Hollywood was ok with woody Allen marrying his adopted daughter? We’re they all just ignoring this or thought ok? Didn’t someone be like uh what is this crap?

She was not his adopted daughter. And even now there are people who will argue their heads off that she was not his stepdaughter either (they were never married!!!! they did not live together!!!!!) Plus, given that Hollywood was ok with Polanski literally raping a literal child, they hold their elites to a different standard.

Let's not forget 15 year old Natassja Kinski with a 40+ Roman Polanski. Even though later in life she said it was "more of a flirtation; he respected my boundaries" I'm not sure if I believe her.

OMG, Klaus Kinski was terrible; while the jury is still out on Natassja (she claims that while he was inappropriate he never molested her) he definitely molested her sister for years.

I sometimes think people don't realize how differently people in the creative communities, especially at the highest levels in Europe and the Americas, thought about themselves and boundaries of every kind, during the late 60s and 70s, even into the 80s.
The whole feeling, mood, and expectation, was that all the rules were wrong, nothing was off-limits, your mind and creativity were the only master. You were expected to do whatever you wanted and it was considered your right. The biggest part of the reason Polanski was accepted in France by the older elites is that attitude. It's part of why in France as we speak, there are more and more cases involving pedophilia and incest that happened by elites in the arts and government, becoming known.
And Kinski being a verifiable narcissist on top of all that? Yeah, some really bad shit went down in that family.

He had Pola, Nastassjas older half-sister. He molested her from early age on. Her biography is horrible. I don't believe Nastassja, that maniac took whatever he wanted and she was the even prettier daughter (no offense to Pola, who is a fantastic actress).

I am not an expert, but I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of victims try to downplay their abuser's crimes as a coping/defense mechanism.

Yep, plus media (and people in general) in the 70s tended to normalize things that we consider to be highly inappropriate and abusive today (ie: underage groupies, underage models in heavily sexualized ads a la Brooke Shields and those Love's Baby Soft ads, etc); my gran LOVED gossip and bought the Star and Enquirer every week and as a lil tyke I clearly remember the coverage on Natassja and Roman, partially because she was so beautiful. Media back then was clearly working that "She is 15 and has taken an older lover...isn't that sexy and European?" angle and would show all of these glamorous pictures of them ( ... )

yep basically, plus he’s always been very powerful in the industry so many would be blacklisted if they spoke out against him

Tbh that part has always confused me (not just in regards to Hollywood, but in regards to everyone who doubts Dylan's story). Even if you don't believe her and Mia, how does the fact that this guy married a child he'd helped raising not make you question him? That's super messed up in every way.

I have never understood this either. Even taking the predator part out of it (which no one should, but alas there are people who don't believe her) it's just WEIRD that he dated and then married an ex-girlfriend of his' daughter. And there wasn't even time between the two relationships! It's not like him and Mia broke up and then 10 years later or something he got into a relationship with Soon Yi. He cheated on Mia with Soon Yi! And he had known Soon Yi since she was like 9 or something!

This timeline is actually really good at spelling out how fucking gross this whole thing is: https://www.nytimes.com/article/woody-allen-timeline.html

He didn't help raise her, and had little contact with her until their affair began.

No, sorry but no. The video and photographs in just part one that aired last night show that Woody was around while she was growing up. He was at her house all the time, he had space at his house for Mia's kids to sleep, he went to their vacation house with the family. He was very much there. He had contact with her before he started fucking her.
