Apparently the wife was trying to get her hands on incriminating photos of Evan Rachel Wood that were taken during her time with Manson in order to blackmail her and expose her publicly, in an effort to ruin her career.

given that MM’s current wife is apparently trapped in a violently abusive relationship I probably wouldn’t judge her actions as despicable. MM is the one with most reason to want to ruin Evan’s career, so he is most likely (I mean, obviously) behind this. We have no idea what he is making his wife do.

"I was used to people hurling things at me in the middle of the night in a cocaine rage"

Ooof In Esme Bianco's article, Brian's personal assistant mentioned how hated being alone and surrounded by people and cocaine! So Dita has seen this!

"All OP can think is "...¯\_(ツ)_/¯"

I don't mind if she doesn't wanna talk about her issues at this time because it's a lot and coming out is never easy. While reading Esme Bianco's account it took her a long time to come to terms with everything that happened to her.

Besides there's been many times victims go into a denial state when they say nothing happened to them even when evidence/rumors say otherwise. I'm not interested in forcing people's hand. They came out when they want to and if they want to.

Rose McGowan also mentions that there was a lot of cocaine in their relationship in old interviews.

My ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ was mostly towards some of the critique she faced from her imperfect statement.

Clearly something happened, and she has a right to not talk about it. However, I feel that these excerpts kind of help explain why the statement she gave wasn’t perfect. There’s a lot to unpack and she has to reconcile with and even though it was 15 years ago, she still has a lot of complex issues with everything that happened.

I admit I find it weird that she got out and is now “okay” with him, but as someone who was almost raped by a male friend and then dated him AFTER that incident and dealt with emotional abuse afterwards, I get the weirdness. Trauma is so, so confusing and you do and say things that come off as callous or cold or disturbing but really you have so many complex emotions surrounding everything, that you don’t even know which way is up anymore.

So I just ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ ‘d

Apart from the fact he’s an abusive piece of shit, that article showed how pathetic his lifestyle is: blackout curtains drawn all day, awake all night, cocaine and absinthe for “breakfast”. He’s like some 16 year old’s idea of what a ~hardcore rockstar life is, except he’s in his 50s.

oh I'm glad you made this post. I had remembered old interviews that hinted at abuse.

"here is the comment about how she wasn't able to have any of her things around her at her old house, and the even odder aside: 'I basically lived with Mommie Dearest for six years,' a comment on which she wouldn't be drawn. But the picture remains hazy until Von Teese calls from Seoul."

Yep. His PA mentioned that he would decided E V E R Y T H I N G. If he doesn't want to eat, you're not eating.

Esme was give a vial of absinthe and a line of cocaine for breakfast.

He's a psychopath!

Yeah, I knew I read old interviews but I was having a hard time locating my sources and I didn’t want to appear as someone who made up things when I posted my comments in the other posts on here.

I’m extremely lucky (in a sense) that I found the Marilyn Manson subreddit and when searching for Dita, came across the thread that lead to the articles I remembered.

What kind of Stockholm syndrome has you becoming friends with your abusive ex and their new wife?

I don't particularly get it either but it's probably a form of denial/compartmentalizing things.

Or she's a terrible person....I wanna give her the benefit of the doubt so I wanna assume the former. :|

Both evan and esme went back to manson after having already been abused, are they terrible people too? I don’t get this kind of judgment or why it should only fall on dita. It’s not uncommon with emotional abuse.

trauma is really complex. it's not that hard, unfortunately, to see her thinking maybe he's changed or the years softening memories until things explode like this.
