Buffy Summers S1 is the height of her grasping onto being into fashion and I kind of wish it lasted a bit longer then it did.

I feel like an old lady but that dress in the first gif is SO short holy lmao. It is a great look though, I also think a lot of her style in season one is basically popular all over again so it doesn't seem as dated as the seasons from the early 2000's. Some of the leather/pleather looks they rocked in those seasons are awful lol.

Lol yeah I can't get over how short her skirts were at school!!! I used to get in trouble for my wardrobe in his and they made us wear this giant oversize t-shirt, it was ridiculous. But also with a skirt that short you're just sitting your butt directly on your chair all day and I always hated that feeling. I don't wear short skirts unless I'm just walking around or posing for a photo lol.

Yeah I still remember rocking a black kilt style skirt (with a studded belt over top that obvs was not holding it up lol) and regretting it immediately as soon as I sat down in my first period english class lmao.

I remember as a child when I first saw s2 I, for a hot second thought that Buffy had been recast because her look was so drastically different from S1.

Can you believe there's a Twitter account that documents bad outfits from BtVS, and it listed that jacket as a BAD one? I was shook.
I wouldn't say it's one of my 'favorite' looks, but it's definitely one of those iconic ones that looked good on Buffy.

Lol I remember that, and nearly all of the comments being ‘wait, what???’

Idk I feel like some people are way too harsh on the Buffy fashion, even if some of it was a bit out there, but still I always felt like wardrobe did know how to dress Buffy up to look really cute and put together when you see the overall look. Maybe not always pieces that I would wear, but it worked on Sarah a good 80-90% of the time I’d say. Modern viewers seem to have come around on things like the short skirts and boots combo too, or the leopardskin that Buffy occasionally wore, because I remember that kind of stuff always being roundly mocked even at the time, and I was thinking umm I actually thought that she looked really cute in those outfits though.
