I wonder if the users who still make those comments and jokes about him on ONTD will make their presence known in this post.

He’s completely right, and it’s always seemed weirdly homophobic IMO to speculate that he’s gay based on his voice being ‘higher’ or him having ‘effeminate’ movements or ways of sitting.

I can say I participated in that speculation and am deeply ashamed of having done so after having watched MULTIPLE straight men mirror their gay male friends/female friends mannerisms after spending a lot of time socially with them. If Shawn says he isn't gay, then I feel pretty confident in saying that's probably what is happening with the leg-crossings and hand gestures.

My boyfriend does it too when he's spent a lot of time with me and my friends, but his mannerisms/body language start changing around his dudebros and not in a bad way, just a different way. Code-switching for straight men?
