I would argue Tony but they are definitely the hardest of the 4

Agreed, live theater seems brutal.

i think a tony would be harder too but i am also thinking of musicals, like, not that doing a play is any easier but if i were an actor i would go for a play

I think theater is the harder job, but I still rank the Oscar as being harder to get. With the Tonys, you're competing against a much smaller pool, and it's broken up by drama and musical.

I feel like the Grammy is a tough one tbh especially for the ~serious actors

grammy is the easiest. there are 100s of categories and the recording academy will vote for a name they recognise over the "best"

Barack Obama had a Grammy LONG before he was president. It doesn't take much.

It's definitely Oscar > Tony > Emmy/Grammy. It's not even based on prestige but on numbers; there are more categories in the latter two.

I feel like it's also Grammy > Emmy. Those two aren't equivalently easy to win. There are so many opportunities to win as a "Guest Actor" in multiple categories. One good SNL hosting job in a weak category and you've got one.

It depends a lot on what your specialization is, I think. It can be a challenge to win a Grammy if you aren't a musician, likewise if you don't have a background in theatre the Tonys are a difficult entry point.

Mike Nichols mostly won his awards for directing, for instance; the only reason he won a Grammy is because he was also a standup comedian.
