i know and i think lin will have many more opportunities to get the oscar that's why i think he has one of the easiest paths, because the oscar he's gonna get obviously won't be for acting. like, i think he wrote something for in the heights next year, he's still working with disney. he will have many more chances. pasek and paul are prob coming for another oscar with whatever new song they write for dear evan hansen, which is fair because the music is the only good thing about that show.

viola needs a grammy so i just need her to narrate some books.

LMM I think will not get the Oscar because he is to vocal about wanting one.A new song for a Broadway adaption is normal, but he has written 4 new songs for "the little mermaid". It's a lot. when your to successful you get shut out. That's why Beyonce and Taylor Swift don't have Oscar nominations and may never get one. lady Gaga was lucky that "Shallow" was such a commercial hit, because she was on the same path. The thirst for something that wasn't known even 10 years ago is astounding.It really is an honor just to be nominated.

dang FOUR that is a lot. i honestly didn't see it for tlm i thought he would have a shot for that other disney movie if not in the heights. i see what you mean though about the thirst. pasek and paul will prob beat him to it if they write something for like, an awards show. i think that's how he got his emmy anyway.

And while Rita Moreno's Emmy is a Primetime one, it was for the muppet show for a category that doesn't exist anymore. The awards are identical and have your named engraved on it. It counts . If it was easy everyone would have one.

this is so stupid. most of the primetime/creative arts emmys are random as fuck categories, as are daytime. as long as they win from a competitive category from either it should - and is i dunno why i'm arguing this since it's already true - be allowed
