That! Killed off the love interest then proceeded to do interviews saying Veronica needs to be sexually available for other men and is only interesting when unhappy/damaged/traumatized. People understandably said "no thanks!" and it wasn't renewed.

Also going to need the love interest alive and how about dropping the cringey drug friendly storylines because ooc belongs in fanfic.

I wouldn't have minded the drug use and drinking if it led to a storyline about Veronica's self destructive behavior but no, Veronica's perfectly fine and so hip, I guess?

I still haven't watched it (because it's not available for a reasonable price I my country) and I don't care about THE thing that got people upset in theory. I would wish that I still like Veronica though and ... I kinda fear that she's one) too far up her own ass in regards to her white privilege and two) what I heard about her behavior towards Logan ... whew. I don't care about him, really. They should have never gotten back together. But her being abusive is hard for me when I remember looking up to her as a teenager.

Yeah, I gave zero shits about Logan - he was an asshole in the original series and I always thought they were terrible together. The new reboot made him a different person and in turn, too good for her but she turned into a right asshole so I hated watching.

I was spoiled on the ending and never cared about them so I went into it like "whatever" but the way they did it felt like it was specifically a fuck you to the people who shipped them and also to Veronica as a character. They just make the last 5 minutes "look she's going to be happy now! Jk we're pranking you"
