Kristen Bell Says She Walked in on Her Daughters Drinking O'Doul's During Zoom Class

On the first episode of podcast "Say Yes! with Carla Hall", Kristen Bell spoke about the way her daughters (Delta, 5, and Lincoln, 7) support their dad Dax Shepard's sobriety. Bell explained that her daughters have developed a taste for O'Doul's "nonalcoholic" beer, which has "less than 0.5 percent alcohol by volume". The children are allowed to drink O'Doul's for dinner and order it at restaurants.

Bell reminisced about walking around the neighborhood with her baby daughter and her husband: "He'd pop a nonalcoholic beer in his hand and the baby would paw at it and put the rim in her mouth... It's a sentimental thing for my girls, right? It makes them feel close to their dad." Bell refers to the drink as "essentially a bubbly juice."

Bell recalls checking on her children during a Zoom class: "I walk in to check on them at 9:30 and both of them are drinking an O'Doul's on their Zooms. They're both just sipping their Doulies. And I'm like, 'What must these other parents and teachers think of me?'"

Bell stated that "You're welcome to tell me I'm a terrible parent. I don't care. I'm a great parent, I think. I'm learning every day... They can pretend like [I'm] doing something wrong. I would argue that I'm not, because it's nonalcoholic." She concluded that this opens up a discussion with her children about their father's sobriety.
