She said smt bullshit like she was doing a “documentary” on this right ?

idk on one hand i hate OF and anything that makes it sm easier for (young) girls to get into sex work etc. but then if it also /helps/ them survive etc... ugh idk

kinda shitty that celebrities like bella thorne and tana mongeau tip the scales like this for ~funsies and screw it up for smaller content creators, even though this is nothing new or special to OF 😓

For me its like... I'd rather we fix the issue as to WHY these people feel they need to get into sex work to survive. Like it's the easiest part sure, make it safer and more in control, but it still sucks tht people feel they need to sell their bodies just to get by.

yeah, 100% agree to this. i know there’s a lot of layers to it and there’s no easy fix, but i can’t help but cringe that OF is marketed like a cutesy patreon/etsy when legit teenagers are asking if they can /also/ get $$$ for feet pics

It goes beyond why some people are doing sex work. We do need to address those things but sex work can be very high paid in less time than a traditional job and thus you can sometimes get the freedom many others don't have. Of course, there's not insignificant risk, especially if you're marginalized in any way ( ... )

IA. It's my same thinking about so many things. (Instead of shaming people and cutting them off from what they're doing/liking, why are we not addressing the source of it?) It gets brought up a lot in the romance community since so. many. readers. have fantasies they wanna safely read in fiction books and get so much shit for it. Like IA there are issues, but why are we shaming women with fantasies and not looking at WHAT created those fantasies in our society?

Sorry of the tangent. But basically IA 100%. People turning to OF to pay their bills is just the result of so many issues.
