I can't tell if he's saying he got the job or not. Is it possible it was Stuber?

Oh I totally didn’t read it that way, that he just refused to play up his accent but was in the movie. Was Stuber successful though?

I remember seeing H&K in the theater and thinking it was going to be a huge hit but it got overshadowed by Napoleon Dynamite. At least it seems to have somewhat cult status now.

Funny thing is, in my country, when H&K was released my older brother was around 16 and he and his friends were OBSESSED with that movie whereas I didn't hear about Napoleon Dynamite until I was a teen myself and got in Tumblr and all the white girls kept posting about it.

To be fair Napolean Dynamite was PG/PG-13 and had wider appeal compared to H&K which was marketed as a stoner comedy (not even considering the non-white leads). Nowadays everyone my age (late-20s/early 30s) knows at least one H&K movie.

John Cho could feed me those nasty burgers and I'd lick the crumbs off his face.

I can't think of another movie where there product placement was so embedded in the story

Didn't the other actor get mugged recently?

He got mugged back when he was living in DC and working in the White House, I dunno about recently!

I saw Harold and Kumar at the movie theater with my best friend and it was genuinely probably the hardest I had ever laughed in my life. Even in the parking lot after the movie we couldn’t stop laughing.

i love harold & kumar go to white castle. it has enough gags to be funny outright, but i'd been living in the US for 3 years when it came out and i had no idea white castle was a real thing, my knowledge of american pop culture was minimal and my english wasn't sharp enough to pick up on everything, so the movie had a high rewatch value for me because every time i saw it i picked up on something new. i like those dumb movies so much.

also, john cho and kal penn were soooo cute.
