Oh I totally didn’t read it that way, that he just refused to play up his accent but was in the movie. Was Stuber successful though?

Nah, but it might've been "big" in terms of budget. Deadpool ultimately makes more sense.

In the interview he says he auditioned for the role and it was hugely successful, so I assumed he was not in it.
