Yellowstone Club had about 864 members. It said membership cost a minimum of $400,000 to join, plus the cost of a $5 million to $35 million mountainside home, plus annual dues of about $42,000, according to members.

I had a friend who worked there for a summer. We joked at all the great tips she would make.

She didn’t. She made more at a college bar.

Fuck rich people.

I don't understand that shit at all. I feel like if I was rich I would get SO MUCH JOY (even selfishly) by giving big tips to people and watching their eyes light up.

I am from a rich city in Germany where Daimler and Porsche have their HQ yet the state is known for being soooooo cheap, it’s redic. Some example: One time I bought some lunch for my coworker so he gave me 10 bucks to buy something and he asked for his 47 Cent back not like 2 Euro but 2 Euro and 47 Cent.

lmao reminds of when my coworkers bought a loaf of bread for lunch and then calculated how much everyone owed based on how many slices they had

I'm middle class and I feel delight when I get to give someone an unexpectedly large tip. If I were wealthy, I would definitely do this for people to pay it forward and add a bit of joy to the world.

I don't either! I'm a poor. But once a year I try and treat myself to a good meal around Christmas or my birthday. I go somewhere where I know I'm gonna drop 50 bucks on myself to eat. I also try around christmas every year, since i started working as a teenager, give a waitress one helluva tip around christmas. Sometimes it's at the same time and place so my tip is beyond 25 percent. I try to give someone a hundred bucks. That's all i can afford ( ... )

The thing is that sometimes rich people feel like they are entitled to it, so it's your duty to serve them no matter what. That's why some rich people give the lowest tips or pretend that you don't exist

Idk. People like that stay rich by not giving it away and being stingy.

It’s because they’re so used to people kissing their ass and giving them free shit. They expect you to do the service for them for free. Fuck rich people.
