Saw an early screening of Never Rarely Sometimes Always, and would highly recommend it. It's not fast paced and there are zero frills, but it really brings home the realities of how hard it can be for women to get the healthcare they need.

Recently rewatched Girl, Interrupted for the first time in years. I watched it a ton as a teenager, but I'm thinking I must have had it on VHS because I can't find a DVD anywhere, and it has never made it to blu-ray. So we bought it digitally. My husband had never seen it before, but he liked it. I feel like I can't be entirely objective about it, but watching it this time, I was impressed with the cast as a whole (I knew Clea Duvall was in it back then, but I didn't even know of Elisabeth Moss at that time), and Winona Ryder in particular. I was obsessed with Angelina as a teen, and she's great in this, but Winona has a less showy part and is compelling without being an especially likable character.

Gonna buy Little Women and watch that again soon; I could use a comfort movie rn.

Oh man, I LOVE Girl, Interrupted. That was one of my favourite films in high school.

I've been busy binging TV shows (AHS:1984, The Outsider, McMillions, Narcos Mexico) lately but I was lucky enough to catch a screening of Koyaanisqatsi at the Fairfax Theatre last Sunday. What an incredible film. Currently trying to find the next 2 in the trilogy.

I'm suuuuper interested in Never Rarely Sometimes Always!! Not really sure if I'm up to going to a movie theatre this week tho.

is anyone going to the theater this weekend? i'm thinking of seeing bloodshot (look, i have eiza gonzalez thirst problems) at an AMC in Northern Virginia on Friday, and part of me is trying not to freak out and take a bunch of precautions and another part of me is like "don't be a fucking idiot." help!!!

I'm torn about it, too. Mainly concerned for all of the part-time employees this is going to hurt.

mostly that too, yeah! also hoping that everyone freaking out means no one is going out because that's my jam - deserted public spaces lol

I am not going to go anymore because I have elderly parents at home and I do not want to risk getting them sick, but when I did go for the last time last weekend the theater was so empty like a ghost town. The few people that were there were spread so far apart too.

This Tuscaloosa trailer... so much secondhand embarrassment. Natalia Dyer may have found the ultimate MPDG role.
