No I mean, Disney was obviously expecting it to be Lizzie handling problems like a preteen like on the original show but was shocked to not have gotten that. But who wants that, seriously? The novelty is seeing the Lizzie cartoon say some wild shit as an adult, why even green light it if she couldn’t do that?

lol MTE. Like I LOVED Lizzie McGuire but the reboot from the start seemed so unnecessary and redundant. The show had its moment but it's a prime example that not everything should be rebooted.

I didn't quite understand how this series was trying to be new and/or different. Did anyone watch Raven's reboot show? Girl Meets World wasn't looked on favorably. The only show on Disney that was somewhat original and good was Andi Mack and Disney treated that like the redheaded step-child.

Also, bless you for brining Sebastian Stan and his frog face self to this post. I love looking at him.

I believe it was going to be her life years later at 30 but that was just speculation. It always seemed like a mess and more like Disney+ was feeding off of people's nostalgia obsession rather than trying to make a good product.
