People and Entertainment Weekly are hosting a livestream for the red carpet at this year's Screen Actors Guild Awards, beginning at 5:30 ET/2:30 PT.
The award show itself doesn't start until 8pm ET/5pm PT on TNT, TBS and their online counterparts, and the ceremony runs a relatively brisk two hours and change.
I was part of the Television Nominating Committee this year (now that voting has ended, I can mention it), and I completely agree.
I was sitting there perplexed when the nominations came out. Did members not get the 100 or so DVDs or utilize the codes? I honestly have no clue what the committee was thinking. I felt like my fellow committee members just voted for the safe choices, their friends, their favorite actors, or they didn’t watch any of the FYC materials. We pick the top 5, and then those are tallied to create the top 5 nominees overall that the rest of the SAG-AFTRA members vote for on the main ballot.
It’s a shame though...there were some really great performances that were truly overlooked this year.
thanks OP for having the post up early!

Hopefully next year will be better.

*I may be completely wrong and my taste in television and critiquing performances could be way off though... *shrugs* LoL
