lol yes! I just kept hearing something super tasteless happened, and then I read it was about "two sad teens falling in love in NYC in the summer of 2001" or whatever and I was like "the summer of...? OH GET THE FUCK OUTTA HERE"

I haven't watched it, but I guess they succeeded because without that dumb ending people wouldn't even tell that movie apart from others.
I watched another romantic movie because I had read good comments about it, in the end when the protagonists are about to reunite after many years apart, one of them gets ran over by a car and dies! I felt like I was missing something because who could think of that dumb ending after two hours of movie
