I saw The Nightingale last week and loved it. It is very violent but all the talks of them having a therapist outside the door was a bit much. I only wish they'd done something more or less with the ending.

I might go see Hustlers next week.

[Spoiler (click to open)]My personal wish is that they would have gone harder on those two assholes. If anyone deserved to suffer, it was the two of them and I feel like of all the people who died, they might have suffered the least behind their original guide.

Either that, or have it end after she confronted him in the tavern and made him lose his placment for good. He wasn't going to jail for what he did but she took one of the few things he wanted away. It's like they tried to split the difference and the ending felt muffled because of it.

oh man i saw the trailer and then read some letterboxd reviews and apparently there's a lot of rape scenes..like a lot (in one review i read someone in a screening audience shouted "enough! she's already been raped!") eugh...
