JUST IN: Turns out, @scooterbraun's Ithaca Holdings, which recently bought Big Machine Records, has CARLYLE GROUP as a SHAREHOLDER.

Carlyle Group is notorious for funding genocide in Yemen, among several other atrocities to humanity.

Shame on you, Scooter! #WeStandWithTaylor https://t.co/0YkQObNmoL

S.Braun’s company is Ithaca Holdings. According to the WSJ, where the acquisition of BMLG was announced, (x), the purchase of BMLG for $300M USD was funded in part by the Carlyle Group, already an investor in Ithaca ( ... )

I’m kinda shocked at how well sourced this all is? I’m so used to fandoms using old ass screenshots as proof but this is solid research, and its written so clearly

This reminds me that Bernie is the only candidate who's really screaming for us to pay attention to Yemen. Fuck.

Fuck Saudi Arabia.

bloop, you're right. tired of hearing from people that bernie is the worst over and over again. he's an old man who isn't the most charismatic, but he actually wants to at least slow down the military-industrial complex and reign in american imperialism. which even everyone's progressive fave liz warren hasn't indicated (tho i like her domestic policy and want her to be pushed left on foreign policy so badly).

Progressives in American don't really care about what happens outside mainland that's just the T ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ most are like Liz Warren who thinks the US is fighting freedom and that they're entitled to such position. Even on this site I read more than once that Bush was right regarding Afghanistan + ppl saying Trump is weak for not pushing military intervention in Venezuela... it's amusing to watch their process of thinking.

Literally had a conversation with someone the other day who said "I don't really care about foreign policy or pay attention to it" after they spent months bashing Bernie and I was like ????????????? sis you work in politics! What are you doing! Foreign policy is what the president has the most control over and it's literally life or death! It's so frustrating trying to explain to people that when people critique neoliberalism, they generally are critiquing liberal/woke "faves" for bombing kids, supporting occupation, ignoring genocide in favor of control of oil fields, backing literal war criminals, etc ( ... )

Yes Warren x Sanders discussions are annoying to read because those liberals always resort to shallow idpol arguments (mostly because they aleeady have a bias). I literally could not care less if it's a woman or a man greenlighting yet another coup in my country lol I want the candidate that won't do that in the first place!!
Pod Save America guys are a joke even in domestic policy territory. These dudes were arguing against universal medicare the other day. Can't believe they were the "bright minds" of the Obama administration. Actually I can because as you said Obama escalated ICE in his admin + other many many faults like all shit stirring he did here in Latam and ppl didn't bother to look up, even with the major wikileaks docs about it lol SOS

It's comforting to see ppl like you who are genuinely concerned with non US-residents basic human rights tho. I guess overall ppl are warming up to a less imperialist approach too, it's just hard sometimes to remember that.
