One of R Kelly’s victims filed a lawsuit. R Kelly didn’t respond. So a judge rendered a default judgment on the lawsuit in favor of the victim (due to no response).
R Kelly lawyers say he’s illiterate so that’s the reason he didn’t respond. The judge reinstated the victim’s lawsuit, so now it will continue through the normal process.
