Yeah do these companies think people are going to pay for 10+ streaming services to get all possible content? I will just keep netflix and not watch anything else lol.

I have Hulu for 99 cents for a year, Starz for $5 until that promo ends, Netflix, Amazon, and PBS (but that was just to donate $5 a month lol). Still cheaper than cable, but there's no way I'm paying for another streaming service. I wouldn't even have Hulu or Starz if I didn't have deals for them.

How did you get Hulu for 99 cents a year!?

Ope, I meant 99 cents a month for a year! It was their Black Friday deal for new accounts. So I just cancelled my old one and signed up with a different email lol.

They just see $$ and until or unless people stop signing up and pushing back on these things, they will just keep setting them up.

It’s ridiculous. The other day I was looking for a movie. I have cable (with on demand), Hulu, Netflix, Roku (since I don’t have a smart tv), Amazon Prime and I still couldn’t find it. And it’s only gonna get worse.

Between Apple’s, Disney’s, and this WB one and the current contenders, it’s really not sustainable.

This is so stupid of the networks because Netflix actually gets people to start watching shows. It got me watching The 100, I-zombie, Riverdale, and crazy-exgirlfriend when I never check for CW shows so would never have started watching them if it weren’t for Netflix.

Seriously, no one really gave a shit about "You" when it was on Lifetime, then blew up when it was moved to Netflix (I still haven't watched it and have no desire to though)

Yess when I first heard of it it was on Lifetime but when it blew up it was on Netflix? I was confused.

It was acknowledged to be huge for Breaking Bad’s success too as more and more people started checking it out in the later seasons following their friends recs, it was convenient because it was right there on Netflix, whereas there’s no way those same people would have bothered with getting some separate Showtime app to watch it (an app that almost certainly wouldn’t have even been available outside of the US as well)

Yeah, I do not get it. Who is going to pay for 6 different ones? I wonder if they will put up the old WB shows like Smallville that Netflix does not have.

I work for a large telecommunications company and people canceling cable is a trend. But I think people are also missing the experience of live TV. I think things will shift where cable providers will have to change the organization of their packages /services, like allowing more room to customize your channels etc

Because as mentioned, why would people subscribe to 4 different streaming services it's crazy, when they can just turn on the TV or log into that TV account and stream the live content online or on the go which is possible.
