February 11, 2019 -As you may have heard, WB is starting up their own streaming service and they are making sure that they up the ante with their library for potential customers.
-Once Netflix's contracts with TheCW and Friends expire, do not expect for them to get renewed since WB is not interested in sharing.
-Netflix pays over 100million for the rights for Friends and over $100 million for exclusive rights to CW content but WB wants their heavy hitters to be exclusive just to WB. At the moment, Netflix puts new seasons of CW shows to their library 8 days after the season finale airs. No word if this means Hulu will gain back the rights for next day streaming or if WB plans to include a similar model to Netflix.
