i checked tumbler yesterday (though it had been a few weeks since i checked it, so maybe thats why?) and i noticed nothing.

a pod i listen too theorised that this could be a (temporary) end of all fandom being in one platform, and tbh i hope it is, so sick of the culture that has developed there

A friend of mine uses tumblr and she said the fandoms are toxic everywhere. It’s even to the point where they were attacking Millie for her teenage opinion on the stalker in You.

People everywhere are the same. I'm not seeing toxic shit in my fandoms because I unfollow people who reblog anything I don't like. I know there are some shitty people who will go out of their way to get into others' inboxes but then there are some others will sit in the drama and complain that it's toxic.

i agree thats the best way to navigate it, i block and unfollow left and right lol but i kinda find it fascinating how the toxicity creeps in like a virus from peeps who seemed normal for ages before they start getting into messy shit
