Couldn’t that damage a trial though? Like couldn’t he say he can’t get a fair trial if that’s been televised? I’d hate to see him get away with it (though of course he probably will anyway because Scientology $)

I don’t think they even expect there to be a trial. And you can’t sit on info for years while a DA whose been seen with the enemy, something tony has talked about in his site, and expect there will ever be a trial. The show might be the only way that those women are ever heard.

if his defense team had filed the motions I could see that, pretty unusual to come from a DA, you'd think they'd be all in favor of it
and like the other user said, if they don't have enough of a case to press charges/bring to trial, then airing the documentary may be all they have. if they can't charge him with anything, wreck his public image instead.

There is no trial. LAPD gets paid off by the cult. Look up how shady they were when Leah filed that Shelley was a missing person.
