News broke last week that Michelle Williams had privately wed in a small ceremony earlier this summer. The Sydney Morning Herald reached out to Kim Ledger, Heath's father, for comment, and he said "We are terribly happy, it is great. She's very private and I don't really like to make too many comments about her, but we are very happy [for her]."
While the Ledger clan didn't attend the small ceremony (Heath and Michelle's 12 year old daughter Matilda was among the only guests), Kim said they look forward to meeting Michelle's husband "soon" when they visit Michelle and Matilda in Brooklyn. The Ledgers, who live in Australia, have remained close to Michelle and Matilda since Heath's 2008 death.
