I have lots of thoughts.

I liked Avery, Will and Gunnar's band with just them. The new chick seems ok but she's clearly just there because they want to mirror Scarlett having a new LI. Also thematically they just found their groove as a "boy band" so adding a new member after the last episode is sloppy writing. They should've at least waited one more episode.

I have no idea where this Juliet storyline is going. Also guy is totally aping Phillip Seymour Hoffman's performance in The Master. But anyway it's the last season, why are we wasting time on this? I want to see Juliet grow and blossom. I know she has her cycles but it feels like they're just treading water. Also the CSA storyline makes me cringe, not just because of the subject matter but because it completely lines with the Diana Jenkins rumors and Hayden's mom pimping her out.

I'm trying really hard to like Deacon's new gf, especially since she's sticking around but she will always be Andre's crazy wife on Empire to me. I don't know if it's the material or what but she is so bland. I feel like they're too worried the audience won't lie her because she's not Rayna, so they won't make her three dimensional or give her any actual faults. She just doesn't feel real to me.

I haaaaate Maddie's new bf too omg. Bring back Clay! Last season they tried to include more black folks and then they all dropped off the face of the earth and the show is white af again. I was actually impressed with the risks they were taking last season. This season doesn't even feel like we're building up to some great climax and finale, it feels like some regular bland filler season.

i reallyyy don't see why they need to add a new female to the band. it seems pointless when she'll prob only stick around for an episode or two and then they'll either go back to the three of them, or scarlett will decide she wants to join them again.

i completely forgot what happened to clay? but i liked him. the whole storyline with maddie/new guy/his ex seems like a joke too lol, like they were hung out once and suddenly his ex has a whole video and song ready? it seems really rushed.

i like jessie if for no other reason than i love her sister on mr robot. they're both such different talents.

ikr? is she going to hook up w/gunnar until he realises his otp is w/scarlett and they end the series w/their marriage or something?

yeah i feel like that's going to happen too, even though they already kinda did that with autumn (minus the marriage) and then that other girl he dated on tour. i just wish they would've developed the gunnar/scarlett relationship more instead of it just being so on/off.

I liked the girl who looked like Angela from Boy Meets World. They should have brought her back and had her be the girl they added to the band. It would be a decent story circle and harken back to the earlier seasons.

i still dk why they wrote her off the show. i didn't know that her story was "done" but i guess it was a way to force scarlett/gunnar back together.

(i mean i know what happened to her character obvs, she went to LA to be a backup singer and singer)

zoey? yeah i liked her. i hate how they pushed her/gunnar together and then because scarlett was pissed about it she just kind of left. it would've made sense for her to come back.

They rushed Clay off in the dumbest way. They just had him wig out and drive off into the night. He's not dead or anything so I'm praying that they break up Maddie/doucheface and bring him back.
