Summary: Sungmin tries to make Kyuhyun open his eyes and finally notice him.
A/N: Sungmin’s POV.
“I don’t believe you, Kyu,” I said, staring at those eyes. “Even if you say the truth, I don’t believe in you anymore.”
Kyuhyun looks away from me and picks up the umbrella that was long forgotten. He puts the umbrella above us.
“You should be in your house before you get sick,” Kyuhyun pushed me softly back into the house and put the umbrella on the dry floor. “I’ll get going then.”
He turned around and walked away under the rain. I closed the door and leaned on it, asking myself if I was mean for not running to him or good that I finally learned to resist against my urge to hug him. My mom came out of the kitchen and looked at me from head to toe.
“What happened to you? Did you go outside? Why would you go outside?” My mom asked, pushing me upstairs to take a hot bath. After that, I put my dry clothes on and went to sleep earlier than ever.
The next morning, I walked to school listening songs from my iPod. When I finally got there, Siwon was there, standing next to the gates like if he was waiting someone. I waved at him to notice my presence, and when he did, he walked towards me with a big smile.
“Good morning, Sungmin,” Siwon said, hugging me tightly.
“G-Good morning,” I reply, hugging him back.
“Shall we go to class?” Siwon released me and gestured to walk first.
At first, I thought that it was weird for Siwon to be suddenly all… gentleman? But then again, who are we talking about? He’s the perfect guy everyone wants; he got the looks, intelligence, manners, and good personality. I wonder why I didn’t fall for him before Kyuhyun.
“Sungmin!” Donghae called when I was about to enter our classroom. “I heard about-“
He stopped when he saw me with Siwon behind. Siwon greeted Donghae with a smile then walked into the classroom.
“Anyways,” Donghae snapped back into reality. “I heard about you and Kyuhyun yesterday.”
“How did you know?” I asked curiously. Obviously I was curious because I didn’t tell Donghae about that yesterday, and this is the first time I see him today.
“Eunhyuk told me everything. He-” Donghae moved closer to whisper, “he called Hyukkie to tell him everything.”
I was in shock for 2 reasons: first, why did he tell Eunhyuk everything that happened between us last night? And second, are they even friends? From what I know, Kyuhyun never talked to him first.
Suddenly, someone covered my eyes behind asked, “who am I?” Judging by the voice, it was more than obvious that it was Kyuhyun.
“Kyuhyun, what are you doing?” I asked, removing his hands from my eyes. “Don’t you know that your voice is recognizable?”
Kyuhyun stared at me sadly, “sorry.” He walked into the classroom without looking back once.
When the bell rang, I walked all the way to my seat, but then Siwon called me and asked if I could sit next to him. I looked at him weirdly, but I didn’t mind. As soon as I sat on the empty chair, Siwon put his arm over my shoulder and pushed me closer. Everyone stared at us, including Kyuhyun.
“Just ignore -” Siwon stopped and turned around to look at everyone. “Who threw it?”
What was happening? Why Siwon said that? Why was everyone quiet? Why were Donghae and Eunhyuk laughing? Those were my questions that flooded my mind until the teacher arrived and gave us class.
During recess, I was walking towards my locker, but then Siwon appeared and dragged me to the cafeteria. Before I was dragged to the cafeteria completely, I saw Kyuhyun next to my locker.
During Physics, Kyuhyun and I were working on the project which was due last week, but since nobody finished, the teacher gave us this week to finish completely. While working, Siwon sat next to me and put his head on my shoulder.
“Do you need any help?” Siwon asked.
“Nobody needs your help, so get out of here,” Kyuhyun replied harshly, glaring at him.
“Hey Kyuhyun, don’t reply to people like that,” I said, making a mad face.
“Don’t you understand? He came to take you away from me!” Kyuhyun blurted.
“Of course not,” Siwon said, frowning. “I came to see if you guys needed help.”
“Can you help me connect those wires to these batteries?” I asked Siwon for help, since he was willing to help.
Kyuhyun stayed quiet during the whole class. When the bell rang, Kyuhyun, Siwon and I finished the work and left it on the teacher’s desk. Then Siwon went over his desk to get his bag and stood outside of the classroom.
“Hurry Minnie, we have Literature right now!” Siwon practically screamed as if he was in a stadium.
I packed all my things and ran towards Siwon. “Let’s go!” We ran as fast as we could because that literature teacher was a time freak; she said that 1 minute was late.
Finally after all the classes, we went to lunch. I sat next to Donghae to ask him something.
“Why were you laughing this morning?” I asked, putting my hands on his shoulders in case he decides to dodge my question.
“Oh that was epic!” Donghae started. “I think Kyuhyun is jealous because when he saw Siwon’s arm over your shoulder, he took out an eraser from his bag and threw it to Siwon’s head.”
So that was it… Kyuhyun had to be.
“I thought he was going to fail, but it landed perfectly on Siwon’s head!” Donghae continued. “When Siwon asked who threw it, Kyuhyun turned around, pretending he was looking outside. One question, why is Siwon like… that… with you?”
“I really don’t know, but I feel good that he treats me so well,” I said happily. “I wish Kyuhyun was like him cuz’ I’m falling out of love.”
“Minnie… everything will be alright,” Donghae said as he hugged me tightly. “Now, let’s eat.”
We both eat our lunches and wait for the bell to ring. As soon as the bell rang, Siwon appeared and put his hand on my waist. I felt somehow uncomfortable with his touch.
“Minnie, I want to walk with you after school,” Siwon whispered next to me ear.
“Ummm sure,” I said, looking anywhere but Siwon.
Siwon noticed that I wouldn’t see him, so he started tickling me, which made me laugh so hard. In front of us was Kyuhyun, expressionless. He dropped a rose and ran away from us. I was going to run after him, but Siwon didn’t let me.
“Let him be.”
I picked up the rose and had a note attached to it.
Forgive me for everything I did. I may not be perfect as Siwon, but I can love you forever even if you hate me.
