KBS wrapup!
YAY yayay KBS's lineup made it very easy for me in terms of not spending 2 hours watching performances lol, because I only bother watching special stages and half of these performances were just artists performing their hits of the year, which...doesn't interest me lol.
there were the two major special stages: "In the Club" and MJ tribute, and then the "legend" special stages which I also didn't bother with because I don't know the "legends," thus I wouldn't get anything out of them, really. the only other perf I watched was the "Love Rain" remix. I really love Kim Tae Woo's voice
So here are my comments on the two special stages:
"In the Club" (all performances): loved SNSD, 2PM, and the ending medley
the thought of SHINee doing Gaga totally blew my mind. Like honestly BLEW. MY. EFFING. MIND. Having watched it about a gazillion times though, I still don't know what to make of it hahha. LULS: Minho big pimpin on the couch, esp around 00:20
kara doing Son of a Gun: they looked pretty hot but performance not that exciting for me. LULS: Kang Jiyoung not wearing black like the other 4? distracting
SNSD doing Rhythm Nation: the four tall ones plus Hyoyeon...HOT. I LOVED THIS. no luls here (cept maybe Suju in the background) because everything, from singing to dancing, was fantastic
2PM doing boom boom pow: OMG I WOULD HAVE HAD THE BIGGEST FANGASM. *would* have. because their hair looks so dumbtarded ARGH. otherwise, hothothot. LULS^infinity: JUNSU SHIRTRIP FAIL HAHAHAH I will laugh at you forever Junsu. to add insult to injury, I love the placement of the smudges on his shirt...oh fail^infinity
Suju: uhh good I guess but just too busy. too many members + bulky outfits = doesn't look too hot. also,if they were going to pick members out of 13 12 11, why not choose only a select few strong dancers? what were kyu and wook doing there lol? better yet, how bout just Eunhae kthx
the ending medley of 2009 hit dances was great too, pretty short and self-explanatory
Out of the MJ Tribute stage, my favorite by a billion was SM Town doing "Smooth Criminal" (I mean, with Suju, SHINee, and SNSD it is basically SM. minus troubled dbsk, and...now that I think of it, f(x) wasn't present at all in KBS gayo lol. neither was t-ara). this performance was such effing win I don't even know. simply amazing. dancing, vocals - WIN.
I like Billie Jean and I think 4minute's job with it was pretty meh. Gayoon sounded great though
2PM did a good job with Dangerous - I mean, it's 2PM. when it comes to them and dancing, you KNOW they'll deliver
I'll be there was good - the Soshi girls sounded great, Davichi was even better...BEG was a mess though lol. I was really surprised/disappointed
Beat It with Jonghyun, Kim Taewoo, and Trax Jungmo: at first I saw "SHINee, Kim Taewoo, Kim Jungmo" and I thought it was a dance performance so I was so perplexed by the lineup lol. it all makes sense now :) strong vocals from Jonghyun and Taewoo, obviously
hmm. now that I think of it, where was 2NE1 during these special stages? you'd think out of the rookie groups they'd go for them (not 4minute), if that's the reason they were exluded (after all, f(x), T-ara, beast, and mblaq were shut out entirely)
