Most Unnoticed Members
Part 3: the shortest and most boring! haha
Wait...they're in this group?
These are the members whose complete abandonment baffles me. These members are not simply overshadowed, like for example Kara's Kang Jiyoung...it's like they're purposely ignored. They get zero solo parts, zero popularity, zero media coverage, zero camera time, etc...I don't even remember they're in the group!
1. Jihyun
I swear, Jihyun is the most fail leader I have ever seen lol. She gets NO solo lines, no dance solos, never stands in the middle, never gets any camera time...wtf. lol. I've realized why she and Gayoon are most easily ignored: the formation that 4minute almost always uses is Hyuna in the middle, flanked by Jiyoon and maknae, then Jihyun and Gayoon in the very back. She's the LEADER, she should not be perpetually in the back lol.
Hopefully the next single will focus on her or maknae (since the first 3 focused on Hyuna, Jiyoon, and Gayoon respectively).
2. Dongwoon
Pre-debut, I remember quite a bit of hype about this one. He was the cutie maknae, the prettyboy who looked more Thai than Nichkhun, the one I was convinced would be my newest obsession. But...?? What happened? lol. He doesn't get any camera time, a line or two.....idk, kinda confused
3. Nana
When it was first reported that After School had in fact decided on adding two new students, everyone was all oooh and ahhh over the beauty that was Nana. And she really is extremely pretty. But that's it. And the camera and everyone else is still too obsessed with UEE to care at all. She was in the Because of You mv for like 2 seconds, and I'm pretty certain she didn't have a single line in that song.
I was tempted to mention Jooyeon as well, as even when AS was only 3 members, I felt she and Soyoung were definitely the 'fillers', but that's different from being ignored. Besides, she's gotten a couple small solo projects (aka was featured in a couple mv's), and she was one of the leads in the Because of You mv. still do not understand the storyline at all though lolol
Honorable Mention
He only gets an honorable mention cos BB is usually pretty fair about spreading the spotlight, but where was Seungri this past year? Daesung was in Family Outing, TOP was in Iris, GD and Taeyang both promoted...?? Where was maknae? lol
Bonus: the ones who are unimportant and look alike...
none of these four is 'ignored' per se, but they're all relatively insignificant in their groups. plus, I still cannot tell Jungmin/Kyujong apart, and Soyoung/Jooyeon took me forever
to that end, Yoona/Yuri were also impossible for me to tell apart for the longest time haha. taeyeon, jessica, sunny, hyoyeon, and tiffany came pretty quickly. then sooyoung, then seohyun, and finally those two...haha
